| APPLICATION |

This
type of threading basically used for gun barrels so that it
can withstand recoiled impact. They are also used for screw
jack, where positive locking is required.

| GENERAL |
| In
British standard imperial system is used i.e. diameter is in
inches and pitch is expressed in TPI. In IS standard diameter
and pitch is given in mm. |

profiles.
I.S. 4696 Part I,II,III – 1976 & IS 4696 Part IV–1980,
for 3/30º thread profile.
